Sadly in 2007 our Librarian Roy Simper relocated up north and therefore retired from Shaftesbury Town Silver Band. Roy was also our B flat Bass player. Roy returned to listen to our 2007 Christmas Concert and was presented by our Chairman Mr John Pike with a certificate of appreciation and a laptop computer so he could keep in touch. (Half of this present was from his family).                                   In the photos on the right John Pike is in uniform and Roy is in the white jumper.                          Directly below is Pat Edwards with Roy and in the middle is a presentation to Roy from Pete Bennett from Wilton British Legion Band with whom Roy also played with on occasion.
